In response to the postponement of the RFS Annual Workshop due to COVID-19 in March 2020, the PCU organised two Country Learning and Exchange Webinars in July to provide an opportunity for RFS country projects to give an update on project achievements and activities from the past year.
The first Country Project Learning and Exchange Webinar featured presentations from Senegal and Tanzania country projects.
Speakers provided a brief update on their projects followed by facilitated Q&A session to allow country project and RFS partners to exchange information and learn more about project activities.
The RFS Tanzania project is working to reverse land degradation trends in central Tanzania and Pemba (Zanzibar) through sustainable land and water management and ecosystem-based adaptation. RFS Tanzania Project Coordinator, Joseph Kihaule, gave a webinar presentation to RFS country project teams in July 2020 to provide an update on Tanzania country project activities, achievements, challenges and lessons learned. The presentation was followed by facilitated Q&A session to allow country project and RFS partners to exchange information and learn more about Tanzania country project activities.
The RFS Senegal project is working to improve smallholder agriculture and food value chains through prioritizing the safeguarding and maintenance of ecosystem services. RFS Senegal Project Coordinator, Ndèye Khady Fall, gave a webinar presentation to RFS country project teams in July 2020 to provide an update on country project activities, achievements, challenges and lessons learned. The presentation was followed by facilitated Q&A session to allow country project and RFS partners to exchange information and learn more about Senegal country project activities.
