The Science, Practice and Policy Expert Dialogue forms part of the 2021 RFS Virtual Workshop Series. The dialogue event will bring together African experts to reflect upon the UN Food Systems Summit, the launch events of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, and the 26th Conference of Parties of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. By applying a science, practice, and policy lens to the novel messages promoted in the international events, the aim is to inspire and inform RFS Country Teams and provide practical measures to enhance their operations to achieve resilience and transform food systems.

The dialogue event is designed to be interactive to maximise opportunities for cross-learning. In addition to an expert panel question-and-answer session, the RFS Country Teams will be provided the opportunity to discuss the meaning of the continental and international agendas to their projects and how they can contribute to and influence the implementation of an integrated approach to policy mechanisms.
